2023-10-01HS 2.0 is coming...This article is mostly technical and goes over the important online play and account related changes that will be present when HS 2.0 releases tomorrow, 2nd of October! You won't find any gameplay related stuff in this article, but don't you worry! More announcements, including Steam posts and our Hero Siege Discord Announcements are coming tomorrow prior to the release! So, let's go over what happens and when.End of Season 18Season 18 will end on October 2nd, 09:00 UTC+0. The release of HS 2.0 requires a major server maintenance, so the servers will be going offline at the same time. This affects both Live S18 and Open beta! PanicNet AccountsPanicNet accounts are the ones you use in-game to log in. They are completely separate from your Steam/Android/Other accounts! So if you have a Stash token, Chests, Keys and/or Skins bought via Steam for example, those are completely unaffected by the changes below. All Open Beta Accounts will be permanently removed!
At the start of Open Beta many of you were able to use your live account info to log in. These accounts that you use in Beta were simply copies from the live database. So the copied accounts will be removed, but your original live accounts stay unaffected. Recap:
If you want to be ready for when the gates open you can switch to the live branch of the game (on Steam, go to Hero Siege in your library, right click, press "Properties" and select the "Beta" tab and choose "None") and make sure your account works there. Or register a new account if you don't have one. All live accounts that are registered before the maintenance at 09:00 UTC+0 on 2nd of October will be there when HS 2.0 online play goes live. Live account management, email verification, password change etc. can be managed HERE. After the 2.0 goes live all account management happens HERE.I hope this covers everything related to your accounts. I know this is a confusing system and I guarantee we won't have anything like this in the future ;) One more thing, if you have subscribed to the HS+ package during open beta, that is tied to your Steam account. Your HS+ subscription will remain active regardless of the PanicNet account you use. Estimated time table
Hero Siege 1 rankingsWhile HS 2.0 starts from Season 1, we haven't dismissed the your HS 1 season ranking achievements. All HS 1 season rankings, including those from Season 18, will be visible for you and anyone inspecting you to view. Same goes with season rewards, they aren't going anywhere! Hero Siege 1 heroesAs the 2.0 overhaul is so massive, all the characters, currency etc. will be completely wiped as they are no longer compatible with the 2.0. Everyone starts with a clean slate. Stay tuned for more info. The upcoming stuff will be gameplay-related and not this boring stuff. See you when the gates open tomorrow!

2023-06-09Class Design ContestThe Final Vote is here!
Back in time, we held a Class Design Contest for Hero Siege. Now, after some time we have finally reviewed the entries, listed them and pick the top 5 of our liking. The main points we ranked them on was the idea and creativity. We read all the entries well, and discussed different aspects and ranked them by giving them a grade of 1-10. The top 5 formed from the classes that got the highest number. You guys submitted amazing ideas, amazing self made art, and unique ideas. For that, we are honored to have you part of our community. However, it is a contest after all, and there can only be one winner. How to vote? Each class listed below is assigned a number. The voting happens in our Discord Server What happens to the winner? The winner will be made in to the game as a playable class. Without further adue, let me introduce the top 5: Number 1ButcherThe Butcher is a visceral frontliner that focuses on visceral melee attacks, shredding your victims into pieces and turning the battlefield into an absolute bloodbath carnage. The Butcher's abilities consists in close quarter combat and tons of damage potential. His left talent tree displays the mastery and expertise when handling fresh meat, causing bleed with his Hematolagnia and finely chopping the armor of your enemies with Bone Crusher. His Blood Bath and Blood Lust ability further increase his slaughter by increasing his movement, attack speed and damage capabilities. His right tree does not fall behind. While the first one is focused on macerating your enemies, we all know Butchers have massive chopping weapons. With big weapons, it comes with a big AoE. Bonk your enemies, throw chopping boards at them and tear up your enemies with Hack n Slash, while sacrificing your own blood to gain even more damage with Sacrifice ability. There is absolutely nothing an experienced butcher can shred. Don't cross his eyesight, or you'll end up in a chopping board. "FRESH MEAT!" Butcher Number 2BreakerThe Breaker is a seasoned mercenary who blends together might and magic to make quick work of her foes. Leaving nothing but broken armor and splintered shields in her wake, this warrior's ruthless mastery over martial weaponry has earned her the title of Breaker. Breaker’s left skilltree is the Reaver, which focuses around dealing heavy damage using Whirling Blades at the cost of defenses. Guiding Winds further empowers Reaver to critically strike enemies for maximum damage. The reaver is also able to dash before dealing a powerful blow to her enemies using Shattering Gale. On the contrary, the right skilltree, Dread Knight, Is a juggernaut who slows down her foes with Dread Aura before striking them with her Runic Blade which has the power to summon powerful Dread Pillars of frost. The Dread Knight also has the power to temporarily Manifest Dread itself, empowering all her abilities and causing them to deal bonus damage to enemies slowed by her intimidating aura. The Breakers title is not just for show. She doesn’t let anything block her path to fulfilling the job no matter what is waiting around the corner. "They call me The Breaker; I'm a mercenary, nothing more, nothing less." Breaker Number 3KunoichiThe Kunoichi is an agile ninja that delves inside the shadows of Tarethiel and wields an array of Ninjutsus to quickly take down your foes. Do not blink in the presence of a Kunoichi, otherwise your head will be rolling in the ground even before you realize. Her left tree focuses on agile close quarter combat. Equipped with Shunpo, she's able to quickly close the gap between enemies, all together with her control over the 3 elements: Water, Lightning and Fire, that further anihilate her foes and dominates the battlefield, alongside an immense AoE potential with her Dance of Life and Death ability that quickly pierces enemies at her surrounding with sharp daggers. The Unseen Shadow tree lives up to it's name. Controlling shadows, the Kunoichi dominates the battlefield with Shadoww Copies of herself that mimics her abilities, ultimately exterminating any threat that may cross her path. "Ninjas don't wish upon a star, they throw them." Kunoichi Number 4EXOEXO is a celestial entity, controlling a small dwarf planet that brings celestial powers down to Tarethiel. Channeling powers from the sun or from the moon, it's for sure that no enemy will be left alive EXO's Talents on the left focus on turning into a living sun, unleashing contained solar storm to attack your foes and emitting killing rays of light to weaken the enemies or even turn into a massive Black Hole to control massive areas. EXO's Lunar form is almost equivelant to an apocalypse from your nightmares, crashing down on the ground to mow your enemies down, summon another miniature planet to orbit around you for protection, huge meteor rain for massive AOE damage or literally draining Air out of your enemies lungs weakening them. "Embrace the Void" EXO Number 5WarmaidenThe Warmaiden is a once formidable warrior tormented by the spirits of the dead. Combining her power to commune with the spirits to perform powerful magic and her own martial art dances that create powerful combos she battles all that is evil. Warmaidens left tree is Spiritual Battlefield where the Warmaiden can conjure powerful spiritual spears from thin air to strike her foes with Issue Order, or spawn portals behind herself with Revenge of the Deceased which summons a barrage of spiritual weapons before closing. Using Tactical planning the Warmaiden can also shield herself from damage. The right tree of Warmaiden is Battle Dances where she performs different dances such as Crimson Advance that launches the Warmaiden forward and upon hitting an enemy she delivers a powerful blow to all nearby enemies, or Mandala which creates a large zone around the Warmaiden where she will strike any enemies caught inside multiple times in a rapid succession. The Warmaiden is not to be underestimated, with high mobility and both powerful and agile attacks she controls the battlefield which haunts her. “The Battlefield is a lonely place, not for me” Warmaiden There we go, that's all the entries. Now, get to voting!

2023-06-08Under the Sea 3Good day beautiful people!
What a way to start a new day; fresh coffee, good music and to top that off I get to share some new and exiting info about upcoming changes and features for 2.0. I will quickly mention before we dive in to these 2 main topics, that it is looking very bright indeed at the moment. If all goes well, fingers crossed, we will be able to start Closed Beta testing on next monday 12th of June. Yes, you heard right, 12th of June. Now, I'd like to remind that we do hold the right to postpone this date and extend the time for development as much as we feel like, but currently this is the schedule. The duration of Closed Beta testing is still undefined, but I'd give it a fair 2-3 weeks atleast. Most likely shortly after Closed Beta we will be having Open Beta. Oh, and by the way, there are still couple slots open for the Closed Beta testing. 2 actually to be specific. Let's have a game shall we? In this post you can find a hidden message. Find that message, and you may have a spot in the Closed Beta! Anyway, let's not get distracted. Let's get to our first topic of todays post. New Gamemode: OdysseyOdyssey, a heros own journey to glory. This game mode has been requested so much that we have lost count. I now confirm that it is here; Odyssey is the name for Solo Self Found (SSF for short) in Hero Siege 2.0! Solo Self Found heroes can only play solo. That means there is no friends with you on your journey. Market, trading and mailbox are also disabled - it's essentially true to it's nature: Solo and Self found. Simple as that. We however felt that the name "SSF" was kind of meh. I brought the topic up, and we brainstormed and HandsomeTom came up with the name Odyssey. Everyone was feeling it, and so it was selected as the name for this new way to play the game. Odyssey can be applied to both Softcore and Hardcore characters. This is how it will look like in the character selection* ![]() So just like before, mark the spot red to select Odyssey, create a character and that's it! The character borders are also fresh new and very well distiguishable, highlighted by the awesome Heroic blue ![]() SC on the left, HC on the right Hope you enjoy the great news! On to the next one: Guilds 2.0Another high demand, long time coming feature is updates to Guilds! We're bringing it in with HS2.0 with more control and depth for guilds to pursue the top spot and claim the glory of each season. Guilds are no longer per character, but rather per account. Guilds can now be created in Danethorpe, the town in Act 2; at the bottom, you can find Guild Master Kranosh. Players can talk to Kranosh to
When creating a guild, you need to enter:
Inside the Guild UI the Owner can promote and demote users, change the guild Icon (basic logo creation), manage permissions and edit everything misc to guilds. There are 3 ranks to each guild:
These are the names as default. Names for Officers and Members can be changed. Ownership of the guilds can also be changed. Guild Stash permissions can also be be managed per role, what ever the Owner chooses. Guilds can have up to 32 members. So how does it work? Each character that is eligible can contribute Guild XP There are some exceptions: Odyssey SC and HC do contribute Guild XP, but get's no benefits from Guild Perks or Guild Stash, they only get the social aspects of the guild. Non-season characters have their own Non-season Guild Stash, but do not contribute Guild XP. They do get the benefits of the perks. Seasonal Guild Stash gets wiped on season change. Guild Level is resetted on season change back to level 1. Maximum Guild Level is 100. After reaching level 100, the XP does not cap, the guild will continue to gain it without a limit. This determines the ranking of the Guild. The Guild with the most post-100 XP is top 1, and so on. Guild XP (mentioned as GXP from this point on) is gained by each player just by playing the game. Playing with other members of your guild benefits this GXP gained. When Player A plays the game, a portion of their personally gained XP (un-affected by EXP GAIN stat) transforms to GXP also. This portion does NOT eat away the XP the player gains. We are starting with the base conversion % which is 15%. (Note: This might change prior to launch) Every extra player in the party, who is in the same guild, adds 2,5% extra GXP gain on top of the base value. This means, if Player A and B play together, and belong in the same guild “TROOPERS”, both of their GXP gain is 17,5%. With 3 players from the same guild this is 20%. With 4 players from the same guild this is 22,5%. Example case: Player A and B are in TROOPERS guild. They play with a third player, Player Z who belongs in PEPEGA guild. In this case, Players A and B have 17,5% GXP gain because they benefit from each other. As Player Z is the only representative of PEPEGA guild, his GXP gain is 15%. Satanic Zones give yet another extra GXP gain buff to players by value of 6,66%. This means, with the example above, that if the players A, B and Z play satanic zone, their GXP gains would be: 17,5% + 6,66% = 24,16% for players A and B 15% + 6,66% = 21,66% for player Z Players can also obtain Guild XP from Daily Guild Quests (unlocked at Guild Perks) These quests have a flat amount of XP that goes directly and ONLY to guild XP, not increasing players personal character XP. The amount of XP scales with the guild level, so doing these quests stays as a relevant option to gain XP. Doing these quests with other guild members boost the amount of XP you can gain. TLDRPlayer base GXP = 15% Every extra guild member in party adds bonus GXP = 2,5% Satanic Zones gives another extra GXP on top = 6,66% Players A and Z from different guilds do not give extra GXP (2,5%) The highest GXP player can have = 29,16% (with 4 party members from same guild and in satanic zone) Guild Perkssubject to change Every 10 levels of the Guild gives perks. Level 10: Unlock Daily Guild Quests Level 20: 1 Extra Quest to choose from Level 30: 10% Discount to Mercenary Hire Level 40: 10% Discount to merc resurrection Level 50: Unlock Guild Stash Level 60-70: Guild perk tier 1 (choose from 2) Level 60-70: Guild perk tier 1 (choose what was left) Level 80-90: Guild perk tier 2 (choose from 2) Level 80-90: Guild perk tier 2 (choose what was left) Level 100: Guild perk tier 3 Guild perk tiers: Tier 1:
Tier 2:
Tier 3:
Level 55, 65, 75, 85, 95: Visual Upgrades/Perks I think that's everything relevant. If you have any questions, we are always ready to chat with you all in our Discord Server Now, to end this post, some screenshot of the upcoming visual changes ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks for your time.
